À mon chevet

A film by Jérémie Battaglia

Written by Jérémie Battaglia, Mylène Péthel and Raphael Codebecq

Mid-length documentary film | In preproduction

In collaboration with Télé Québec

In À MON CHEVET, a hospitalized man embodies the Quebec healthcare system. A proud heir to a collective dream, he still believes he's strong… until his own body betrays him. Examination after examination, amidst archival memories, specialist diagnoses, and absurd visions, he discovers what is consuming him: privatization, incoherent reforms, unequal pay, and the concentration of medical power.

This hybrid film, blending fiction and documentary, paints a lucid, sensitive, and allegorical portrait of a system in crisis. To hope for healing, one must confront the illness head-on.
