Through an elliptical series of late-night phone conversations between mother and daughter, this short dramatic suspense film explores the fear of losing those we love and the things we do to keep them in our lives. As her mother slips away, Janie scrambles to hold on to her. The pace of her frantic efforts accelerates, allegorical… Getting home on time doesn’t matter; the real threat is the absence of others, and being left to yourself. Nothing could be worse than solitude.
